True Grit Woodcrafts specializes in custom woodworking, creating unique, high-quality wood products tailored to your needs. Each piece is expertly handcrafted from kiln-dried walnut, cherry, maple, oak, and purple heart, making them perfect for everyday use or as a special gift.

True Grit Woodcrafts is proud to introduce our handcrafted board butter, made in-house using just two simple, food-safe ingredients: pure mineral oil and natural beeswax. This nourishing blend protects, conditions, and enhances the natural beauty of your wood products—keeping them durable and ready for everyday use. Get yours today!

Hand Wash Only: Never put your charcuterie boards or custom woodworking items in the dishwasher. The high heat and chemicals will warp and crack the wood. Mild Soap: Clean your cutting boards and serving trays with warm water and a small amount of mild dish soap. Dry Immediately: Wipe off excess water with a towel and allow the wood products to air dry standing on their edge. This prevents moisture from being trapped underneath.
Monthly Oiling: Every 2–4 weeks (or when your charcuterie boards, cutting boards, or serving trays look 'thirsty' or dull), apply a generous coat of food-grade mineral oil. Conditioning: For extra protection, follow the oil with a wood conditioner containing beeswax. This creates a moisture barrier to prevent stains on your custom woodworking projects and other wood products. Avoid Food Oils: Never use vegetable, olive, or canola oils, as they can go rancid over time.
Lemon & Salt: If your charcuterie boards start to hold odors (like onion or garlic), sprinkle coarse salt over the surface and rub it with half a lemon. Rinse and dry as usual. Sanitizing: You can lightly mist your cutting boards or serving trays with a 50/50 water and white vinegar solution for natural disinfection, ensuring all your wood products remain fresh.
No Soaking: Never leave your charcuterie boards or custom woodworking submerged in a sink of water.
Avoid Direct Heat: Do not store cutting boards or serving trays near the stove or in direct sunlight, as extreme temperature changes can cause the wood products to split.
We communicate with you until your custom woodworking project is complete. For questions or special requests regarding our wood products, complete the form above or send an email to support@truegritwoodcrafts.com. We look forward to working with you!
